‘Golden Bachelor’ Season 2 Production Spoilers Emerge

Joan Vassos just wrapped up her season on The Golden Bachelorette and ABC fans hoped to hear the lead announced for Golden Bachelor Season 2. That didn’t happen, but some spoilers hint about the production timeline. 

Golden Bachelor Season 2 Will Happen Despite Gerry Turner 

Season 1 of the seniors’ show was a disaster. After a massive number of people tuned in for the premiere, everything looked rosy for the future. However, after Gerry Turner married Theresa Nist in a hurry, and then dumped her just as fast, people turned against the franchise. 

If the Golden Bachelor Season 2 format follows the other shows in the ABC franchise, the next lead should come from Joan Vassos’ competitors. In the end, she chose Chock Chapple. So, he won’t be the lead for Season 2. But, there are hints of when fans can watch the show again. 

Golden Bachelor Production Spoilers 

Showbiz Cheatsheet noticed that a casting call went out for the next edition of the senior Bachelor show on ABC. And that confirmed that despite Gerry Turner, the franchise sticks with the new oldies storylines. Actually, some people hope to see contestants incorporated into Bachelor in Paradise. But for now, they have to wait to find out. 

Golden Bachelor Season 2 contestants who saw the advert were told that they should be free to film between “June 2025 and August 2025.” Additionally, the contestants must “have a valid passport through August 2025.” So, the cast will travel offshore at the same time that Joan Vassos did, but next year. 

Who Might Be The Lead?

With Chock Chapple tied up with Joan Vassos, many fans like Charles Ling for the next Golden Bachelor. If not him, then perhaps Kelsey Anderon’s dad, Mark might make the cut. But, probably the overall fan favorite is Pascal Ibgui. He self-eliminated because he wasn’t in love with Joan. Coincidentally, Joan also self-eliminated from Gerry Turner’s season. 

As for when the lead might be announced, the outlet speculated that it might coincide with the same date in 2024 that Joan’s selection arrived. So, ABC fans might only find out who the next lead is, in about May of next year. That seems like a very long time to wait. However, interest in the seniors seems to be dying down a little bit.

Many fans feel that competing against dead people makes their storylines just way too painful. Even Pascal felt that he was competing against a ghost for Joan’s heart.
