Chrisley Knows Best fans waited to hear if Julie Chrisley would get a reduced sentence after she returned to the lower court in Atlanta for resentencing, and it turned out she would not be going home early. While critics cheer, others might hold young Chloe Chrisley in their thoughts as her big sister Savannah was confident her mom would be home by Thanksgiving.
The Court Upheld The Seven-Year Prison Sentence
Savannah Chrisley was so convinced that her mom was coming home with a reduced sentence, that they even discussed where they would live. Julie opted to live with Savannah and the younger kids until she adapted to no longer being an inmate.
However, the judge could have given her a much longer sentence, so instead of getting less time, her prison term was upheld on September 25. Savannah Chrisley was so confident that her mom would go home early, but many fans of the reality TV show called her out as being deluded. And, it seems they were correct.
No Going Home Early – Critics React Of Julie Chrisley React
Fox 5 Atlanta reported that the prosecution wanted the judge to stick with the full seven-year sentence. And, they got that wish. The outlet noted:
Prosecutors asked the judge to keep Chrisley’s sentence at seven years. Her attorneys had requested a shorter sentence.
The judge sided with the prosecution, ruling that Chrisley should remain in custody for 84 months.
The outlet noted that Todd and Julie Chrisley’s legal team intends to appeal the new finding. On Reddit, OP u/gossipdaze told other members of the Chrisley Knows Prison subreddit:
NO SENTENCE REDUCTION!
No reduction in sentence! Julie Chrisley will stay in prison for the full term! Hallelujah!
While millions of Chrisley Knows Best fans hoped for a lighter sentence, many critics disagree that she should get away with her fraud crime. Here are some of their reactions:
- Let the Savannah meltdown begin!!!
- I bet she had poor [Chloe] believing Julie would be home by thanksgiving and that this was going to go over really well.
- I always thought Savannah was stupid and now she proves me correct almost every day!
- I kind of figured that[‘s] what would happen. She was undersentenced.
- Oh man I’m sure the chrisleys were banking on the mom to get out for the holidays.

Reflect on your crime while you’re there. If you can do the crime you should do the time no one is above the law not the rich and the famous not the beautiful not the fashionistas, nobody get that through your head finally justice has been served.
You do the crime do the time! Like she did not know what was going on!
She can ask President Biden to give her parents amisty (sp).Oh wait she is a Trumpster. Hmm well she will have to wait to see if Trump the dump will be President to do it along with his jail birds.
I personally think she should had gotten some time reduced what was the point in going to a lower court for them to uphold the original sentence. I think she should had gotten her time reduced this doesn’t even sound right.
