Kate Gosselin Renews her License – Is She Nursing Again?

Kate Gosselin, formerly on Kate Plus 8,  Jon and Kate Plus 8, and Kate + Date on TLC used to be a nurse, and she recently renewed her license. Does that mean the former reality TV star has finally gone back to nursing? Read on for more details to find out.

Jon Told Kate To Get A Job

In July last year, speaking with Domenik Nati, Jon Gosselin explained that when he left TLC, he got himself a job. At the time, he hinted that Kate Gosselin should do the same thing. So far, it doesn’t seem like that happened. That doesn’t mean there weren’t rumors though, and critics of Kate hated the idea that she might be nursing.

After Kate Gosselin’s estranged son, Collin Gosselin claimed dreadful abuse, word emerged that she was broke. Seeking a new reality TV show after the cancellation of Kate Plus 8 and the end of Kate + Date didn’t bring any success. So the mom of eight kids seemed desperate for income. On March 3, The Sun US confirmed that she renewed her nursing license.

The TV Alum Is Nursing Again?

The outlet noted that Kate Gosselin previously had a legally registered nursing license, and it was set to expire on “March 31, 2025.” However, TLC fans believe that she never used it. After all, when she relocated to North Carolina from Pennsylvania, she sold her home for over a million dollars and didn’t look like she was slumming it. 

The Sun US confirmed that the new license exists, noting, “According to North Carolina records, Kate renewed her license as a registered nurse, as it expires on March 31, 2027.” So, the outlet reached out to the Kate Plus 8 alum’s legal rep to find out if she was working as a nurse in 2025. 

Confirmation Is Not Available

The outlet confirmed that they approached “Richard Puleo” who legally represents Kate but he wasn’t able to shed any light on the TLC alum’s employment. “[He] could not confirm if the former reality star is employed in the medical field today,” their article noted.

Work in reality TV seems unlikely for the time being. Notably, all the talk about Collin being placed in a mental health facility, allegedly for no good reason, must have hurt her rep with production companies. Possibly, she wasn’t all that easy to work with, anyway.
