Matt James from The Bachelor flew to Kenya after dumping Rachael Kirkconnell, but why would he do that? Apparently, he purchased a one-way ticket. As his dad is of Nigerian descent, it’s unlikely that he has a family connection, so, why might he be there?

When ABC fans saw that Matt ended his relationship, some people thought he’d been hacked or he was playing a prank. However, his bizarre prayer was for real. So, many ABC fans felt disgusted. Moreso, when a source claimed Rachael Kirkconnell suggested that he blindsided her while they were on a world trip.
Other Bachelor Nation fans were not surprised. After all, Matt James seemed reluctant to commit to marriage and always found a way to talk around it. Still, it left a bad taste because of the way he dumped his girlfriend.
One-Way Ticket To Kenya Is Possible?
Some countries like Australia want to see a return ticket. Or, an onward flight to another destination. However, often, proof of funding can also suffice. Who knows where Matt might go next? Many people speculate that the former Bachelor lead has gone there to train for a marathon. US Weekly noted that he has been running in the country.

The outlet also noted that Matt James shared about running with friends. So, he might have hooked up with some buddies and just be enjoying the wonderful country. Hey, if he stays long enough, he could even enter the Kenya Wildlife Marathon & Half-Marathon at Lukenya Wildlife Sanctuary.

It’s not unusual for some Americans to lump all countries into one on the continent of Africa. But, it should be noted that Nigeria and Kenya are very different places. So, unless Matt plans on investing in Kenya, he probably won’t stay there permanently.
