Ever since news of Lisa Rinna’s departure from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH), rumors have swirled. For instance, some fans speculated that Bravo fired Rinna. And others claimed that Lisa quit.

But spoilers of RHOBH season 13 via People reveal that it actually contains Rinna’s resignation letter. And a preview shows RHOBH star Erika Jayne feeling anxious about spending time with her co-stars. But when RHOBH star Dorit Klemsley holds a spiritual retreat, Jayne shows up.

And Erika confesses, “I come to the retreat feeling two things. One, I knew I was vicious at the time. Two, I was also protecting myself and I had to stick up for myself. So I am walking in like a man of my own island. My friend [Lisa Rinna] is gone.”

And that comment segues to a photo of Rinna’s resignation letter. In it, Lisa wrote, “I will not be renewing my contract and I will not be coming back to RHOBH. Thank you so much for 8 years!!!! All the best, Lisa.”

But insiders claim that Rinna didn’t resign on her own. And when her contract expired at the conclusion of last season, Bravo and Rinna reportedly made a mutual decision that she would exit RHOBH. However, Real Housewives producer Andy Cohen described her time on the show as representing an “iconic run.”

But Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Vanderpump took the opportunity to throw shade. And at the news that Rinna would exit, Vanderpump posted on social media, “Ding dong.” However, Vanderpump also noted that Rinna often faced hatred from fans.

“I heard she got booed at BravoCon, so I don’t know whose choice it was, really,” Vanderpump hinted about rumors that Bravo fired Rinna. “I try not to get involved in it.” And in terms of her social media post, Vanderpump admitted, “I shouldn’t have tweeted ‘Ding dong.’ But I did. There’s a lot of things I shouldn’t do but I’ve done.”

However, Cohen praised Rinna as “really a huge part of Beverly Hills.” And he added his hope that Lisa’s exit represented “a pause. I hope she will come back. I really do,” he said at the time.

“I’ve talked to Tamra [Judge] about this a lot,” added Cohen. “Tamra, ultimately said to me before she came back to this, she said, ‘You know what? My time away from the show kind of helped me as a person.’ And she said, ‘I think it was actually really positive to leave and get some air and step back.’ So I just hope that Lisa will humor us and comes back.” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 premieres Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
