Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) updates arrived from Teddi Mellencamp a week ago and it sounded like very scary news. A cancer scare had her on tenterhooks as she awaited biopsy results for melanoma. Well, after what was probably nailbiting time, she heard the results of her biopsy. Now, she returned to social media to confirm the status of her suspected melanoma.

When the news first arrived that Teddi saw the doctor, she admitted that she had a little mole-like lump on her shoulder. However, as so many people do, she thought about getting it checked out later. Well, that wasn’t okay with her fellow cast member, Kyle Richards. When Kyle noticed that it changed color, she immediately took her to see a doctor.

After a big chunk of her shoulder was removed, the RHOBH star posted up quite a graphic photo of her surgical injury. Naturally, she was very worried as the lumpy thing was sent away for testing. Waiting for results can be difficult. However, it sounded like she was determined to face whatever news came back with a lot of positivity.

On March 22, Teddi took to her Instagram and shared a photo of herself wearing a Jacket over black. Smiling widely, she confirmed that she does have melanoma. However, it’s not all bad news. In her caption, she explained that her melanoma is “in situ.” Well, why does she think it’s “good news?” It turns out that whilst she got cancer, it didn’t spread any further. Actually, she can probably thank her friend Kyle Richards for that. After all, it was Kyle that took her straight to the doctor.

The RHOBH alum added, “I feel blessed and relieved but also grateful to have diligent friends and doctors to watch out for me. I’ll now need to have 3-month checkups, while always making sure to wear sunscreen (a given, I know!) and protective clothing.”

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills – Cautions Bravo Fans About Sun Exposure

Many RHOBH fans didn’t take to Teddi Mellencamp on the show. However, she turned her negative into a positive by passing on her own experience to warn her fans. She wrote, “I really hope that in sharing all of this, I can encourage all of you to get your skin checked annually— if I hadn’t gone in, I don’t want to think about how it could have gone differently. Our skin is something a lot of us take for granted but not me anymore— and I hope not you either 💕.”
