Savannah Chrisley wrote a letter to herself, which can be therapeutic, and it’s clear she struggles with her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisey being in prison for fraud and tax offenses. Additionally, the Chrisley Knows Best alum bears the responsibility of raising her younger siblings. But, is social media the right place to post it?

Writing A Letter Can Be Powerful Therapy

These days, the former USA Network star seems to take her therapy seriously. In fact, she claimed that she missed Donald Trump’s inauguration because of an appointment with her therapist. This week, the Chrisley Knows Best alum wrote a private letter, but then she posted it on Instagram.

Does it seem sad to you that Chrisley possibly didn’t have someone close to share it with? Does posting it on social media diminish the purpose? Upsider Therapy recommends writing them, noting, “Finding acceptance for yourself at various points in your life can be extremely healing and helpful in building a strong sense of confidence in yourself.”

The Very Long Letter

Plenty of people take screenshots from Instagram and post them elsewhere. Consequently, those who oppose the former Reality TV star beating the drum about poor prison conditions slam her posts. So, if the letter brought hate, then was it a pointless exercise?

In part, Chrilsey said:

I met my younger self for coffee this morning. She walked in wide-eyed and hopeful. with no idea of the storms ahead. She had dreams, plans, and a heart full of love for her family–but she had no idea how much that love would cost her.

The long letter went into how she raises Grayson and Chloe, and Savannah Chrisley felt bad about her little adopted sister who struggles with abandonment issues. Additionally, the letter explored the “pain” and the long years of fighting for her family. However, she also told her younger self to “fight harder and live louder.”

The Reactions From Readers?

On Instagram, the USA Network alum found a lot of sympathy. Many of the followers there adore Todd and Julie Chrisley and they admire their daughter’s fight to free them. One loyal fan said, “I cried. You will be in my Prayers. I’ve followed your family for years. I was so angry when they took both of your Parents…” And, many similar comments followed.

On Reddit though, no sympathy went her way. Instead, Chrisley found only derision. One member of the community said, “She’s so damn melodramatic…did you tell your younger self how you’d morph into a nasty version of your father and be a lying, delusional, vindictive piece of just like him? No? Go away you dramatic trash human.”

Another critic opined, “This girl does not get tired lol. my lord.”
