Shahs Of Sunset: Mike Shouhed Charged With 14 Misdemeanor

Let’s start from the beginning, shall we? The star of Shahs Of Sunset Mike Shouhed was arrested four months ago, in March for some crimes that weren’t specified back then. After Mike’s arrest, the following day, Mike paid a bond of $50,000 and was released. As at that time, his victim was unknown. The following month April, Mike’s lawyer issued a statement completely denying that Mike committed any act of violence.

That same month of April, Mike’s fiancée Paulina Ben-Cohen issued a statement saying she was cooperating with the authorities the best she can in order to see that the issue receives all fairness and that she is focused on keeping her children safe amid all the brouhaha.

With regards to his March 27 arrest, LAPD revealed that Mike was arrested based on “intimate partner violence with injury.” It was later on, through a statement that Paulina acknowledged to be the victim.

Mike Shouhed is been charged with 14 misdemeanors which include two counts of attempts to dissuade a victim from making a report, four counts of domestic battery, and six weapons charges. Mike has vehemently denied doing any of that hence pleading not guilty to all counts although his pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 29.

Mike’s attorney Alex Kessel is maintaining that Mike has done no wrong and has committed no act of domestic violence. Alex even maintained his faith in Mike coming out of the case victorious and urged people to “honor the presumption of innocence.”

Meanwhile, Paulina’s attorney Joshua Ritter said in a statement on Tuesday, July 26, that Paulina can’t wait to get this over with so that she can move on with her life as her sole focus is to take care of her children. The statement reads: “looking forward to putting this sad situation behind her and moving on with her life.” Ritter also said, “Paulina’s primary focus is on keeping herself and her children safe. She supports the work that the police and the City Attorney’s Office have done and she continues to cooperate with them.”

Before Mike popped the question to Paulina, he has known what it is to be engaged and get married because Paulina is not the first woman he engaged and got married to. Mike was once married to Jessica Parido but they separated barely eight months after their wedding on grounds of cheating. Mike at first denied ever cheating on his ex Jessica but later confessed to cheating on her the following year after they split in 2016.

Paulina on the other hand isn’t her first time saying “Yes” to an offer of marriage for she too was previously married and also separated. Pauline’s marriage produced two children.

Mike popped the question to Paulina during the season 9 reunion of Shahs Of Sunset but that was after Paulina found Mike guilty of sexting with another woman. Paulina saw chats from another woman on Mike’s phone and confronted Mike. Mike later admitted to sexting with someone else.
