Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Opens Up About the Broken Relationship Kody Brown Has With Their Children

Kody Brown has not only had a falling out with three of his wives, but he’s also had a falling out with some of his own children. In fact, there are quite a few of them that are no longer speaking to him, according to Janelle.

A year ago, the Brown family pulled at the threads and the world saw just how much disquiet reigned within the plural family.

The family patriarch Kody Brown was seen at loggerheads with three of his wives, but there may be deeper tension going on behind-the-scenes regarding his relationship with his children.

In the December 31 episode of “Sister Wives Look Back: How It’s Going” special, Janelle, 54, revealed that one of her sons is “somewhat” speaking to Kody Brown.

“The conversation still hasn’t happened,” she said, referring to her sons Grrison and Gabriel, who aren’t on speaking terms with Kody, 54, “There’s still nothing.”

Janelle then clarified that Kody “does have somewhat of a relationship with Garrison right now.” She explained: “A little bit. But there’s no reconciliation, really.”

The Sister Wives star made the comments after rewatching a season 18 fight with Kody where they both accused themselves of “gaslighting.”

During the argument, which fans got to watch on the December 2022 episode of their hit show, Janelle told Kody she wouldn’t be spending Christmas with him because of his issues with their boys.

The first time fans got a wind of Kody’s rift with sons Garrison and Gabriel, it was in season 17 of the TLC series.

The family patriarch first sparked the outrage during the Covid-19 era when he claimed they didn’t respect his rules. As punishment, he banned them from attending family events until they apologized.

By the time season 18 came around, Kody’s relationship with the boys had gotten to the extent that it was affecting his marriage to Janelle.

“I don’t want to talk about my breakup with Janelle anymore. It’s very painful,” Kody said during a confessional on Sunday’s episode, after rewatching the 2022 scene. “Janelle and I are not good together. She’s not a loyal wife. I’m probably a s–ty husband. I don’t care. We’re not working anymore.”
