Kody Brown and Meri Brown finally broke their silence about their split. And in a joint social media statement, the Sister Wives patriarch teamed up with Meri in offering some background. However, the Sister Wives stars also put a positive spin on their relationship, noted Us magazine.

Kody’s and Meri’s split became headline news when a recent episode of Sister Wives: One-on-One special announced it. But the Sister Wives patriarch and his ex wife surprisingly insisted on social media that they actually didn’t feel ready at the time to make their split official. And in their united Instagram statement, they wrote, “During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family. And we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love. In kindness, Meri and Kody.”

But only Meri, 51, took time to discuss her own perspective in the comment section. And she also offered a promise that she will reveal more about what happened in the future. However, the Sister Wives star insisted that she feels peaceful and positive about splitting from Kody, 53.

But while the Sister Wives star sought to keep her statement upbeat, she also finished by scolding her fans. However, first Meri explained that she desired to “reclaim [her] power.” And she revealed that she and the Sister Wives patriarch spent time in “many open and honest discussions” before coming up with their public statement about their split.

“There is so much more to be told about this story,” added Meri. “And I assure you, my truth will be told. But for now, know that there is peace in my heart.” And contrary to those who assumed she felt angry at Kody, Meri shared, “I hold no animosity toward Kody.”

However, the Sister Wives star spent some time scolding fans who made nasty statements about Kody. And she wrote, “I am not, and pray that I never will be, in a place where I will enjoy making, or seeing you make, rude and demeaning comments about him.” But Meri also recognized that fans “likely will have a range of emotions and opinions at this news and want to offer comments.”

And while Meri accepts that fans want to comment on her split from Kody, she issued a request. When fans make comments, “please be considerate of the fact that we are real people,” she asked. And the Sister Wives star pointed out that the entire cast has “real lives” with “real emotions.”

However, Meri also asked fans to stop sending her congratulatory messages about the split. “Please try to refrain from congratulating me at the break up of my marriage. I value the relationship I had, and look forward to stepping into 2023 and my future with grace, kindness and power,” added the Sister Wives star. However, Kody did not provide any additional thoughts on the split.
