Sister Wives Robyn Brown Weeps After Reunion With Christine For Mykelti’s Birth

Sister Wives Christine and Robyn Brown put aside their differences for a significant family event in an upcoming episode of Sister Wives.

The scene, captured in November 2022, shows the two reality stars present at the birth of Mykelti Padron’s twin boys, Archer and Ace. This marks the second time they’ve supported Mykelti during childbirth—Christine was physically present for the birth of her first child, while Robyn joined virtually via Zoom.

Kody Brown’s Relationship With Mykelti Padron

Despite Christine’s departure from her plural marriage with Kody Brown in 2021, Mykelti, her biological daughter with Kody, has maintained a relationship with Robyn.

Kody comments on the situation, noting, “Robyn and Christine are together. I don’t know how much they’re interacting. I don’t know what the experience will be like.”

In a confessional interview, Mykelti acknowledges the significance of having both Christine and Robyn there. “They’re not here for each other. They’re not here for anybody else, They’re here for me,” she says. “It’s very honoring, humbling and super special because this is one of the most incredible and memorable moments of my life. And to be able to share it with my moms I think is really important to me.”

Robyn also reflects on the moment in her own confessional, sharing her emotional experience. “I was handed Archer first and it was just love at first sight.

At the same time, Christine was holding Ace. And so it was kind of like we were…” she recalls, her voice breaking with emotion. “We were just holding our grandbabies together,” she continues after a pause. Despite the strained relationship between her and Christine, Robyn admits, “I just wish it was under different circumstances as far as Christine and I are concerned. And it was kind of sweet because for a moment I could just forget all that.”

Christine And Robyn Brown’s Relationship Troubles

The rocky relationship between Christine and Robyn has been a focal point of Sister Wives in recent seasons.

During Season 17, Christine suggested that Kody favored Robyn, his fourth wife, over the others. “That’s just what it comes down to. I think he has a favorite wife and that’s why all of this is like it is. And apparently I’m not treating her well enough, so there’s nothing I can do. I mean, honestly, what he’s asking from me is ridiculous,” Christine said.

In a 2023 Sister Wives: One on One special, Kody revealed his true feelings, saying, “I fell in love with Robyn. I never fell in love with anybody else. I was just choosing to be in that covenant of love with them.”

Robyn joined the Brown family in 2014, becoming Kody’s fourth wife. By 2024, however, Kody is only married to Robyn. She has publicly shared her struggles with the family’s disintegration, saying, “We’re in different places about the bomb that went off on our family. I’m in a major place of mourning and he’s angry,” referring to her relationship with Kody during the One on One special in 2023.

Christine Brown’s Support For Daughter’s Bond With Robyn Brown

Although Christine and Robyn are not in regular contact today, Christine continues to support her daughter’s bond with Robyn.

Reflecting on Robyn’s relationship with Mykelti, Christine shared, “When Kody and Robyn were courting, Robyn just saw that Mykelti just wasn’t treated very nice by her older siblings. They didn’t know what to do with her. Robyn saw it and Robyn just said, ‘She’s super cool and she’s amazing.’ She really took Mykelti in and just loved her. She’s definitely been like another mom to Mykelti.”

Despite the turmoil within the family, Kody has also expressed his happiness about Mykelti’s ongoing relationship with him and Robyn. “Amidst all the struggles we’re having as a family, I love that Mykelti is still warm to us. She wants a relationship with Robyn. She wants us to have a relationship with Avalon,” Kody shared, referring to Mykelti’s daughter and her husband, Tony Padron. Kody added that much of this closeness is due to Tony’s affection for Robyn, noting, “Tony loves Robyn and they’ve always had a connection.”
