According to the Sister Wives Season 18 spoilers, Kody Brown blames Meri for encouraging him to get a plural marriage. All was revealed in the special, Sister Wives: Look Back Part 2.
Kody addressed the issues that led to the demise of his marriage with Meri. He claims that she was the one who forced him into a life of polygamy.
The couple looked like babies when they got married in 1990. Their marriage had its share of issues. However, Kody believed the best way to resolve their marriage was to get more wives.
He married Janelle Brown and Christine Brown. As fans recall in the earlier seasons of Sister Wives, Kody added Robyn Brown to the family.
The Sister Wives spoilers reveal that Meri divorced Kody so he could legally marry Robyn and adopt her kids from her previous marriage.
The couple still had issues with their marriage. Kody shared that their marriage was on a downfall for seven years.
Sister Wives Spoilers – Kody Brown Stuck On What To Do
Kody and Meri Brown dealt with trust issues for much of their marriage. She was jealous of each wife who joined the family.
Meanwhile, Kody couldn’t trust Meri after her catfishing scandal. Meri admitted that it was hard to share her husband with other wives.
Instead of addressing his issues with each wife, he would avoid his problems. In the Look Back episode, Kody watched past clips about his marriage to Meri. He shared his perspective on why things didn’t work out. He said that Meri “beat the love out of me over our first year of marriage.”
“From the beginning, Meri and I had a lot of problems. I couldn’t fix them. I didn’t know what to do,” Kody Brown explained.
Later in that episode, the TLC star shared that divorce was never an option for them. He didn’t want to end up with “failed marriages.”
Instead of addressing their needs, he would run to another wife to avoid conflict. Meri feels that Kody changed into a person who refused to take accountability.

Now no one really wants him and he blames every wife and should be blaming himself. Poor old man who abused his wives and every one but himself.
It really doesn’t matter now what he should have done. It is too late, so he needs to straighten out his relationships with his x wives and children. And change his attitude and make a go if it with Robtn.
