Sister Wives Spoilers: Christine Brown’s Romance Sparks Spin-Off Rumors

Sister Wives spoilers hint that season 18 could feature Kody Brown, his wife Robyn, and his three ex-wives. But Sister Wives rumors have teased the potential for a spin-off starring Christine Brown’s romance. And that gossip raised questions from fans about Christine’s estranged friend Janelle.

Sister Wives Spoilers – Spin-off Rumors Soar

Kody Brown’s former wives Janelle and Christine reportedly had begun work on a Sister Wives spin-off at one point. And amid filming season 18, the ex-wives had sought to find ways to profit from their own show. However, problems between the friends might have taken the spin-off in a different direction, according to the Sun.

Sister Wives show-runner Chris Poole reflected on the potential for spin-offs. “Of course I would love to [do spin-offs],” said Poole. “And I think people would love to see what happens to each one of them. But fortunately, we’re in a place right now where we’re covering that on Sister Wives.”

And Poole also sought to halt rumors of any wives quitting the show. “Christine leaving the family was a massive event that really shook up the entire family,” pointed out the Sister Wives producer. “But we’ve shot quite a bit of footage since then. It continues to be just as interesting and dramatic. Because, as much as Christine’s left, Kody is still the father of her children. They still have to interact and figure that out.”

Sister Wives Spoilers – Christine Brown ‘Abandoned Covenant’

But amid spin-off rumors, insiders note that Christine’s romance with her boyfriend David Woolley sparked tension with Janelle. And one source shared, “Christine has abandoned the whole Sister Wives’ ‘covenant.’ She’s working on trying to get her own show. It could be either heavily focused on her cooking, or her life after polygamy.”

However, the cooking show seems unlikely. Because although Kody’s ex-wife did start her own digital show in early 2022, she stopped uploading new cooking videos. And the insider predicted, “David, for sure, would be featured on her spinoff, and her children – 100 percent Mykelti.” In addition to 26-year-old Mykelti, Christine and Kody share Aspyn, 27; Paedon, 24; Gwendlyn, 21; Ysabel, 19; and Truely, 12.

And another source shared why those initial rumors about a spin-off featuring both Janelle and Christine might be wrong. “Janelle is really disgusted with Christine,” claimed the insider. “She finds [Christine’s public posts with David] repulsive. It’s not appropriate for her at all.” Janelle believes that Christine’s public displays of affection with David seem like “too much too soon.” 

However, Janelle also has focused recently on her new businesses: Janelle Brown Production, Strive With Janelle, and Janelle Brown Plexus. And the insider added, “Janelle’s trying to build her own world. She’s always trying to build something. She just wants to be happy.” And distance could create challenges in a spin-off as well. While Christine moved into a new house in Utah, Janelle has stayed in Arizona.
