Sister Wives – Could Season 18 Address Meri And Jannelle Brown Departures?

Sister Wives spoilers reveal, according to Bustle, season 17 revolved mostly around the demise of Christine and Kody Brown’s marriage. The couple first announced their split in 2021. And, since then, there has been much to talk about, from the former couple’s final talks, the family processing the loss, and Christine moving to Uta with her daughter Truly.

But also, in the season we have seen both Meri and Janelle severing their relationships with the Brown patriarch as well. So, the question that has been burning for many fans is – will there even be a Season 18 to address these developments?

Brown Family Under Contract

Notably, TLC hasn’t announced either the continuation or the cancellation of Sister Wives at this point. So, it may be safe not to jump to any conclusions, but let’s discuss. To begin with, there have been some rumors that the beloved TLC series will continue.

US Sun reported that the Brown family has a multiyear contract with the network and they’re “not going anywhere” despite the changing of the Brown family composition. The outlet mentioned that a spinoff series that would include both Janelle and Christine may already be in the works. But, again, the network is still silent on the matter other than addressing the current YouTube series “Cooking with Just Christine.”

Christine Brown – Hints at Sister Wives, Season 18

Fans should not lose hope so quickly though, there is reportedly another reason to anticipate an 18th season of Sister Wives, and it comes from Christine Brown herself. She shared, in a November Instagram post, a selfie with a backdrop we haven’t seen before, which could confirm that more material is down the pike.

“I’m finally filming in my house in Salt Lake!!” the Sister Wives alum wrote, adding that she was “so excited” tagging the post “#sisterwives and #newbeginnings”. Meri also touched on the issue in an Instagram post, writing “not all is always as it seems,” perhaps alluding to her split from Kody.

“It’s not always about what you’re looking at but also where you’re looking from,” she continued. “Everyone has their own experiences and their own truths. Remember, no matter how flat the pancake is, it always has two sides.”

No More Wives For Kody Brown?

In Touch reported that a new wife could be in the future for Kody brown and Sister Wives, citing a source who claims Kody is “actively looking” for another sister wife for his harem. However, PEOPLE reports that Robyn said that Kody has “basically said no” to the idea. Robyn indicated that she’s “scared of it because of how badly this has gone.”
