Teddi Mellencamp Moves Forward: Staples Removed, Radiation Next

Teddi Mellencamp, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) alum, awes Bravo fans with her resilience. They also appreciate her transparency as she battles brain tumors. In a new update on February 28, Teddi shared that her surgery staples were removed, and she now moves on to radiation treatment.

The Next Step Arrives

Teddi, who previously faced health issues with melanoma, told her RHOBH fans in mid-February that terrible headaches led to doctors finding brain tumors. Initially, medical professionals prepared for surgery to remove two tumors, but during the procedure, surgeons found and removed four tumors instead.

While the larger tumors were removed, the smaller ones, she said, would be “treated with radiation.” In an Instagram post on February 26, Teddi felt very grateful for the medical team that supported her through the surgery and recovery process.

Radiation Treatment Set To Begin

In her new post on Instagram, a photo showed that Mellencamp’s surgery staples were removed. So, the former Bravo star prepares for the next phase of her treatment: radiation. Of course, once it’s done, the doctors hope that the therapy prevents a recurrence.

Cancer.gov explains, “Radiation therapy is a cancer treatment that uses high doses of radiation to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors.”

In her caption, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said, “Staples out and ready for radiation.”

Teddi’s openness about her cancer scare made fans empathize with her a lot. So, reality TV fans and her co-stars flooded her social media with messages of love and encouragement.
