The Wig Party For The Reality TV Alum
On April 15, Mellencamp posted a photo on her Instagram page showing her with a group of friends, all looking lovely. Her caption read:
My hospital girl crew (minus Jenn and Kyle) surprised me with a wig party. I guess that was safer than a shaving my head in [a] solidarity party so I can’t complain. Love them so much. I feel blessed to have the support I do.

Bravo Fans Respond To The Supportive Post
Many fans responded to Teddi’s post with encouraging words. Comments included, “You have the sweetest friends.” Another follower wrote, “Beautiful group of ladies! Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers daily Teddi! Hope you’re feeling better soon!” And, “A wig party is an excellent idea! Love that.”
The news comes after Mellencamp faced a series of health issues. Following surgery for skin cancer, she recently underwent surgery for brain tumors. Earlier, she shared a post from the hospital as she prepared for the procedure.
The Wig Problems
On March 12, Mellencamp shared two photos on social media. One picture showed her with her hair short after her treatment. Meanwhile the other featured her wearing a new blonde wig. She asked her followers which look they preferred.

Many of her RHOBH fans thought she looked stunning in both photos. Some even opined that her short hair made her eyes appear larger and more beautiful.

Despite fans’ positive feedback on her short hair, Mellencamp talked about her frustration with wigs. On a recent weekend, she reached out to her social media followers for advice.
Mellencamp explained on social media, that while she appreciates the appearance of wigs, they unfortunately cause her itching. Therefore, she seeks alternative ways to feel comfortable and confident.
Fighting For Her Life
On the April 9 episode of her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, titled “Hot Girls Never Die,” Mellencamp discussed her husband, Edwin Arroyave, and his help with their children. She also talked about her immunotherapy and radiation treatments, as well as her will and burial plans.
Teddi Mellencamp described radiation as a lengthy but painless and somewhat tedious process. The reality TV alum also shared a story about her father, John, repeatedly calling her to discuss the family mausoleum and burial arrangements, which she found a bit overwhelming, especially considering her young children.
In a recent update, doctors informed Teddi Mellencamp that her metastatic cancer gives her a “50/50” chance of survival. (Per People). So, the support by her friends seems priceless, do you agree?
