Fans of DWTS and the reality dating show are set to have a real treat as Sharna Burgess tries her hand at a different type of action.

Coming up on The Bachelorette Australia, we are set to see Sharna Burgess, fresh from her job as a judge on Dancing With The Stars. The news comes in shortly after we find out Survivor star, Locky Gilbert is set to the next Bachelor on the Channel 10 channel.

TV Blackbox released the news that Sharna Burgess, Dancing With The Stars judge, has become the latest leading lady on The Bachelorette. Ben Norris, a contributor to the podcast on TV Blackbox, said he was told about Burgess joining the reality dating show at around the same time he heard about Locky Gilbert becoming The Bachelor.

Norris said there had been a number of rumors flying around that the DWTS judge was signing up, but he said he knows for a fact the contract has been signed. Norris said after Channel 10 had the former Bachelorette Angie Kent joining Dancing With The Stars, she was “unceremoniously pushed aside.” Ben said it was like, “’bye Angie Kent, we’ll never see you again,” going on to say they give solo dances to Sharna Burgess, which makes her look fantastic.

The Bachelorette is still in the early stages of casting

Despite the news from the podcast, a spokesperson for Channel 10 later told TV Blackbox that casting is still in the early stages. The spokesperson went on to say they always welcome speculation regarding the identity of the new Bachelorette. They added that Channel 10 is thrilled to have so many talented and accomplished women expressing interest in appearing on the show.

While they said casting is still in early stages, the spokesperson said an announcement will be made in the coming months.

Sharna Burgess expressed interest in The Bachelorette

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight last year, Sharna had said how much she would love to be The Bachelorette. Burgess said she is “absolutely looking for love” and is ready for love. At that stage, she said she was becoming “more and more open to being The Bachelorette.”
