According to TMZ, the ABC network is cancelling Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette”. This is due to new claims of domestic abuse, with a 2023 video of her fighting with her child’s father surfacing. More details below.

Disney Entertainment Statement

TMZ published a statement from a Disney Entertainment representative noting, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

ABC made this decision about cancelling Taylor’s season of “The Bachelorette” on Thursday, March 18, mere hours after TMZ released the 2023 video of the woman engaging in a terrible fight with her baby’s daddy, Dakota Mortensen.

TMZ is reporting that a source close to “The Bachelorette” reality show has claimed that no one at the network had seen the footage until TMZ published it the morning of March 18.

More Details

As per an earlier TMZ report, both Dakota and Taylor have been ordered to undergo psych examinations on the cusp of spousal abuse allegations.

The Utah Division of Children and Family Services is currently looking into claims of violence between the two. Taylor’s season of “The Bachelorette” was scheduled to debut this Sunday, March 22; however, this will no longer be the case.

In related news, Taylor’s other reality series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” has also halted production.

During Taylor’s press tour promoting “The Bachelorette” this week, which was leading up to the show’s premiere, the woman had been asked about why TSLOMW had stopped production.

With that said, the woman danced around the question during a GMA spot, noting that she doesn’t make decisions regarding production, and wasn’t sure how long this break would happen … or why it happened.

Things turned awkward when the host pointed out that Taylor was an executive producer on the show now … so she really should know the “who, what, when, why, and how” of a production break, right? Still, maybe there’s a bigger reason why Taylor remained tight-lipped! Only time will tell!
