The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills spoilers reveal that the current coronavirus pandemic has halted production on the set of the Los Angeles-based reality show according to a report in People magazine on Thursday. The state of California is seeing a severe increase in the number of infection cases, as are states nationwide, and showrunners have taken a timeout on filming. RHOBH is the third series in the reality show franchise to halt production due to COVID-19 concerns.
As Coronavirus Cases Are Seeing A Spike In California And Nationwide RHOBH Production Has Been Halted
A specific cause or case of infection was not cited by People as prompting the shutdown. It could be that production was stopped in order to permit anyone who was exposed to the virus to now isolate and follow the required COVID-19 precautionary measures.
Thursday’s news comes about two weeks after production on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta was halted. In that case, a member of the production team on the show tested positive for COVID-19.
The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Is Temporarily Suspending Filming On Season 11 Due To Coronavirus Concerns
The RHOBH shutdown is the third case of the television franchise being hit by COVID-related work stoppages. In October The Real Housewives Of New York City enforced a partial production shutdown after a crew member contracted the virus.
The work stoppage on RHOBH reflects the current trend on sets across the nation as stricter and more robust protocols have been implemented in an attempt to curtail the deadly virus from transmitting.
Most film and tv sets must enforce social distancing rules, the wearing of face masks, and mandatory testing.
RHOBH Filming Was Halted In Regard To The Current Coronavirus Pandemic
As is the case with most production sets, filming involves a mix of individuals in indoor settings, increasing the risk of transmission of the coronavirus.
The new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills features Lisa Rinna, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke, Crystal Kung Minkoff, and Kathy Hilton. Currently, Season 11 of RHOBH is slated to premiere on Bravo in April 2021 and there is no word yet if the current delay will change the scheduled debut date.
Officials in California as in the rest of the country have urged individuals to stay home at Thanksgiving and during the holiday season in general as a way of flattening the curve on the rate of infections.
