Savannah Chrisley – Quits ‘Special Forces’ Show!
Chrisley Knows Best alum Savannah Chrisley just abruptly quit the second season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” And she revealed her reasons for dropping out. But Savannah also shared how her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley responded via TV Insider.
In January, Todd and Julie reported to prison to start their sentences for bank and tax fraud. And in the wake of their imprisonment, Savannah took over custody of her younger brother, Grayson, and her niece, Chloe. But the Chrisley Knows Best alum admitted that she “struggled with, in all honesty,” the fact that she didn’t feel “necessarily prepared mentally for it.”
However, because Savannah needed to leave Grayson and Chloe with her grandparents to do the reality competition, she faced a different type of struggle on the show. And she explained, “I knew this was going to be tough physically going into it. I knew that. But I didn’t realize how tough it would be emotionally as well.”

And Savannah also justified quitting by sharing her worries about “leaving Chloe and Grayson and knowing that they were with my grandparents. My grandparents are older,” she explained. “So they’re not giving the same amount of attention that I would have given, and they weren’t getting that same amount of attention.”
But Savannah also pointed out the challenges that the Chrisley clan faced with Julie and Todd’s prison sentence. And she reflected, “This past year in my life, us as a family, we’ve dealt with so much loss, and it kind of brought back some of those feelings, which I was not expecting. That was the biggest challenge.”
And at the end of the day, Savannah decided to quit. But she confessed, “I was just like, ‘It’s time for me to go home for a shower.” And she felt “ready for a good shower, ready for good food, and ready to see the kids.’ I was just ready to get out.”
Savannah Chrisley – Drops Out Before Diving Into New Zealand’s Icy Waters
And she shared how Julie and Todd responded to the news that she quit. “Honestly, they were like, ‘Heck, I probably would have done it way sooner.’ They were like, ‘I don’t blame you.’ Especially when I told them that I was wearing wet boots in the freezing cold weather. They’re like, ‘Yeah, there’s no way. I would have been done immediately’.”
Savannah’s departure came on day three of the 10-day experience. The challenges involved heading to the chilly waters of New Zealand. And there, contestants received directions to perform a backward dive from a steep platform. But Savannah decided, “I was just like, ‘Alright, this is too much.’ You have to be in wet clothes. Sure, they gave you something to change into, she added. “But you still had soaking wet boots, and I was at my breaking point.”
And she recalled, “I was like, ‘I barely had any food’.” Savannah felt “tired and cold.” And she also missed the children. But she added, “I showed up [and] proved to myself that I can do it.” However, she shared that the children for whom she cared represent her main reason for quitting.
“For the first time in my life, I actually love two people more than I love myself,” revealed Savannah. And she felt “ready to get home to them. I was worried about them because I wasn’t allowed to have a phone. So it was just really tough with all the transition that we’ve had in life to just leave them. That’s what it came down to.”
