Todd Chrisley And Julie Start New Life Behind Bars
Some assumed that Todd and Julie Chrisley would receive assignments to the same federal prison. However, although they hoped for that outcome, the Chrisley Knows Best stars surrendered to different facilities on Tuesday. And the start of their stay behind bars comes two months after their sentences for a combined 19 years for tax evasion and fraud, reported Page Six.
The Chrisley Knows Best patriarch, 53, will spend the next 12 years at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida. However, his wife Julie at first received an assignment to an institution only two hours away. But instead, the Chrisley Knows Best matriarch will live the next seven years at Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, K.Y.
And even after the prison sentences end, Julie and Todd will continue to pay for their crimes. For instance, she must fulfill a probation sentence lasting 16 months after her prison release. The Chrisley Knows Best alums’ prison sentence starts only hours after they failed with their attempts to get bail. The court also rejected their requests to delay their surrender date by 21 days.
Todd Chrisley Shares Final Social Media Message Before Prison
However, the Chrisley Knows Best patriarch offered a clue for those wondering how he will survive prison. And only hours prior to reporting to the facility, Todd shared on Instagram. But he kept his message on Monday simple, noted Us magazine.
Signaling his belief in religion, Todd wrote, “HE is always on time.” And the Chrisley Knows Best alum urged his followers, “#fightthegoodfight.” However, the reality TV star also shared a video of southern gospel singer Karen Peck performing Four Days Late at a congregation. And Todd received support from his family.
For instance, in response to Todd’s Instagram post, his daughter Savannah, 25, turned to the comment section. And she wrote, “I love you daddy ❤️.” One of Todd’s sons, 31-year-old Kyle, also shared his love. And he wrote, “I love you daddy this isn’t over.”
In addition to Savannah and Kylie, Todd and Julie leave two sons and another daughter behind during their prison sentence. Chase, 26, and Grayson, 16, will need to wait for their parents’ freedom. And the Chrisley Knows Best alums’ granddaughter Chloe 10, who they adopted in 2016, also will miss them. Lindsie, 33, has become vocal about her views on her parents’ prison sentence as well.
However, Todd and Julie spent months prior to their sentence of a combined 19 years in prison proclaiming their innocence. But the two received indictments on 12 counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. They also faced accusations of faking their earnings to banks in order to borrow millions.
