The incredible success of the Gerry Turner-led ‘Golden Bachelor’ made the network consider having a spinoff, ‘The Golden Bachelorette.’

With fans becoming disillusioned with the kind of love story they hope to see in it, will the spinoff carry? Psst, the original hasn’t even been renewed for a second season.

So now, fans are pointing fingers. Who’s to blame for this terrible misfortune? Apparently a source speaking to podcaster Kate Casey claimed that the compliance officer was too “uppity” for retired Gerry Turner.

“He’s saying he wanted the divorce because she was too ‘uppity for him’ and used the example of she wouldn’t pump her own gas and hated where she lived,” the podcaster claimed. I feel like I should mention that residents of New Jersey aren’t allowed to legally pump their own gas.

When the divorce news surfaced, fans had been curious to know whether Gerry lying about his romantic and professional past played a part in it. Theresa, however, denied this saying, “Gerry had already discussed that with me, he explained that to me before the report was ever released so we were good with that.”

Fans React To Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist Divorce

Fresh off their wedding, it was reported that the couple were looking for a new home and were planning to move to South Carolina. Sadly this didn’t happen.

What instead happened was that the couple chose to go their separate ways. In fact, even though the couple only lasted a 100 days, they hadn’t even been living together way before the split.

“I’m not blaming her or defending fake ass Gerry, but he is retired. I wouldn’t want to sit around all day alone at home while she was at work,” one fan wrote on Reddit.

“I also think that u don’t quit your career until after you buy the new place or at least commit. He wanted her to quit and travel on HER dime, IMHO. It’s the dynamics, not the timeframe,” another wrote.

One even claimed that Gerry was an attention seeker, while they thought Theresa’s feelings were genuine.

Another opined: “Maybe she thought she could relocate her job or work less but wasn’t fully ready to retire. Also, both of them said they looked at homes in New Jersey too. I think Teresa dumped him and realized he wasn’t who she thought he was. He seems like a controlling type that would be difficult to deal with.”
