OJ Simpson Dead At 76, Former NFL Player Dies Of CancerOJ  Simpson, Infamous murder suspect  died Wednesday, April 10, 2024 night at his Las Vegas home. The man who stood trial in 1994 for killing his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman died of died of prostate cancer.
Simpson was acquitted in 1995 with the court proceedings dubbed the “Trial of the Century.”

The former NFL star later was found civilly liable for the two killings.

His family posted on X: “An X post shared on his official account by his family said: ‘On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family.”

Simpson was an All-Star NFL legend but his legacy is the murder charges and subsequent police chase in LA, and later the televised trial.

In a bombshell development he was cleared of the killings. After being acquitted, Simpson was found civilly liable for the murders and was forced to pay $33.5million in damages to the Brown and Goldman families.

OJ Simpson Has Died

Simpson was a former running back and played 11 seasons with the Buffalo Bills. After his acquittal he tried acting (in reality). According to the Daily Mail “Although cleared of the murders, his reputation was ruined forever and the latter part of his career was marked by a series of seedy ventures.”

In 2008 he was sentenced to nine to 33 years behind bars for armed robbery in Nevada.

It had been reported that Simpson was battling prostate cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.

After Simpson Brown and Goldman were found brutally stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home, Simpson tried to evade police who nonetheless chased his infamous white Bronco, a televised event.
