Real Housewives fans were saddened to hear that an executive producer for the Bravo franchise passed away during childbirth. The news that arrived on social media was very sad because most people recall that sort of death from the 1960s. Read on for more information.

You won’t have seen her on camera, but she worked behind the scenes with the cast of “The Real Housewives of New York City and…[on] Salt Lake City.”  Shed Media is involved in production for the shows, and they were her employers, not Bravo.

The Sad Death

One can only imagine her family’s shock because Lauren had just given birth to her son when she died. Her baby boy, named Jackson, survived but was placed in the NICU.

Miller was married to “her husband, Kevin,” and the couple also had a daughter, 3, named Emma. More news revealed that a GoFundMe was started to assist the family.

The fundraiser is run by Sherri Pender, and the introduction explains that colleagues of Lauren Miller want to help her husband, Kevin, during this devastating time. So far, donors have raised $144,258. One kind person donated a whopping $10 K.

Fans React To Childbirth Death

Fans of the franchise, which includes Ultimate Girls Trip, took to social media to have their say. Many of them felt stricken with shock. One of them wrote, “Prayers to her family and child this is absolutely heartbreaking.”

Meanwhile, others felt even more shocked because of the circumstances of her death. A sad contributor wrote, “That is so sad. something must be done! Women should not be dying during childbirth.”

Here are a few more reactions that show the profound impact Lauren Miller’s death had on people:

  • Omg awful to hear that nowadays. back in the 50s and 60s to hear that…what happened, what went wrong. my heart, my thoughts and prayers go out to her family her husband, her child. This is completely devastating to them and I am so deeply sorry to read this.
  • My thoughts and prayers are with her family, such sad news, How awful!
  • Sending condolences and strength what a sad day this is.

While many people are sad and shocked because Miller passed away, it’s a sad statistic that it often happens in modern-day America.

In April, AP reported that in 2024, “more U.S. women died around the time of childbirth last year, reversing two years of decline.” The highest modern childbirth deaths occurred in 2022, which fell within the years of the COVID pandemic.
