5 Bombshell Reveals From Finding Freedom

Excerpts from Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family have been published by The Times and the reading is at turns jaw-dropping, hilarious, disgraceful, and just plain sad. In the end, Harry and Meghan come out looking like thin-skinned whiners (and that’s one of their better looks).

Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand have their names on the cover, and they may want to go into hiding now that Harry and Meghan are saying they wash their hands of the book, a book that they once appeared to give a huge thumbs up to.

The book has hundreds of interviews with sources close to the couple and purports to tell there, “side of the story,” as well as show the “real” them.

But is it because they appear bratty and gauche that they suddenly issued the statement that they, “were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom?”

Here are five bombshell reveals from Finding Freedom.

#1 Meghan Markle Felt “Emotionally Bruised” At Her Final Royal Engagement.

Sources say that Kate Middleton “barely acknowledged” Markle at the event even though Meghan tried to make eye contact with her. One of Markle’s friends claimed she was, “emotionally bruised and exhausted,” by the end of that day and “couldn’t imagine wanting to set a foot back into anything royal again.”

#2 Prince Harry Allegedly Felt “Unprotected” By His Family.

According to sources, put upon Harry felt that there were, “so many occasions when the institution and his family could have helped them, stood up for them, backed them up, and never did.” Welcome to the real world Harry, families aren’t perfect. That doesn’t mean the majority of miffed people snub their loved ones and air their dirty laundry.

#3 Harry And Meghan Think They Sacrificed So Much.

Apparently Harry believed that some palace aides, “simply didn’t like Meghan and would stop at nothing to make her life difficult.” For her part Markle, reportedly told friends, “I gave up my entire life for this family. I was willing to do whatever it takes. But here we are. It’s very sad.”

#4 Meghan And Harry Think They Are A Big Deal.

According to the book, the couple was frustrated that Prince William and Kate Middleton were sometimes at the front of the line, with Meghan thinking that they were, “a major draw for the royal family. Instead, they had to take a backseat. Sometimes they would be told that their projects had to wait when the Prince of Wales or Prince William had an initiative or tour being announced at the same time.” Once again, wah-wah. What sibling hasn’t been jealous of another at one time or another? The answer is not to publicly shame one’s family as Meghan did with Megxit.
