As the dust is settling for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their new life in Los Angeles, a lot of royal fans can’t help but wonder if the prince will adapt to his new California lifestyle. While he certainly has the sunshine to look forward to every day, there’s a chance he might miss the comfort of the London rain back home. With that said, here are five reasons why life in Los Angeles might not be for Prince Harry.
There’s No Pub Life
Prince Harry is a British lad, through and through. He loves everything about being British, just like the British love everything about him. Reports from the past have indicated that Prince Harry used to love frequenting his favorite pubs near Kensington Palace while staying under the radar. Unfortunately for Harry, pub life doesn’t exist in Los Angeles. Instead of drinking a pint of his favorite lager, he will have to settle for an organic health drink or smoothie to go.
The Constant Presence Of The Paparazzi
One of the reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to leave royal life behind in London is because they want to live more private lives. But seeing how Los Angeles is the world’s epicenter for preying eyes through a paparazzi cameraman’s lens, that might not happen. In fact, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already been snapped by the paparazzi a few times now, despite the fact that they have only settled down in L.A. a few short weeks ago.
The Pressure To Keep Up Appearances
While living in California certainly has its perks with the warm year-round sunshine, the healthy lifestyle and attitude, and the breathtaking and scenic drives up and down the Pacific Coast Highway, life in Los Angeles is not for everyone. Many will admit that there’s always a certain amount of pressure to keep up with appearances, especially in places like Hollywood and Beverly Hills, where vanity rules the boulevards. For someone down to Earth-like Prince Harry, he might have difficulty adapting to always wearing the latest Gucci slides when all he wants to do is dress casually and comfortably.
No Longer Close To The Royal Family
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have shocked the world with their decision to step down from their roles as full-time working members of the royal family, but that doesn’t mean they are no longer part of the family. For Prince Harry, his grandmother Queen Elizabeth and his father Prince Charles will always play important roles in his life. The only issue now is that distance is keeping them apart. However, that same distance is what might make his heart grow fonder and make them all grow closer together again.
London Will Always Be His Home
They say that home is where the heart is and for a person like Prince Harry, it’s without a doubt that London will always remain in his heart. As much as he loves his new family life with Meghan Markle, it is a difficult challenge to leave everything you’ve known and are familiar with from the past three decades to start a brand new and fresh life abroad.

Sure, Prince Harry has traveled the world and met many high-profile people in the past, but he’s always been separated by them, and mostly by the palace gates. Prince Harry loved to mingle with celebrities and stars in the past, but does he really want to be one of them? Only time will tell.
