However, this doesn’t mean Meghan should ghost her altogether. Here are five reasons why Meghan should still give her former bestie a second chance to make things right.
#1 Jessica Mulroney Was The Most Important Person In Her Inner Circle
As many royal fans know, Jessica Mulroney has always been the most trusted person in Meghan Markle’s inner circle. They have been longtime best friends for a good reason. In fact, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were negotiating the terms of Megxit earlier this year, it was Jessica who was babysitting their son Archie Harrison back in Toronto. Jessica has always been there for Meghan when she needed her the most, so could this be the right time for Meghan to do the same for her?
#2 Image Over Friendship?
Should Meghan Markle decide to ghost her BBF Jessica Mulroney, it will make it appear as though the Duchess of Sussex values her public image more than her private friendships. Yes, Meghan knows that she needs to be careful with everything she says and does in public, but in this case, it’s her best friend who stepped out of line with the things she said to a black influencer. While they say you should keep your friends close by your enemies closer, Meghan has a very difficult decision to make here.

#3 Cancel Culture Backlash
A lot of celebrities in the entertainment world have spoken up against ‘cancel culture’ and the backlash it has created. It seems as though no one can make a mistake these days, or at least a mistake in public. Does Meghan really want to end her long friendship with Jessica Mulroney by canceling her altogether? Probably not.
But then again, Meghan is in a tough spot. If she completely ghosts Jessica, it will look like female friendships aren’t very important to her. But at the same time, if she is seen out in public with Jessica, it will appear as though the Black Lives Matter movement isn’t important to her either, which isn’t true at all. The best thing Meghan can do in this situation is to give it time.
#4 You Can’t Erase Friendship

If there’s anything that we have learned about Meghan Markle these last few years it’s that she truly does value the friendships that she had in the past and the ones that she has in the present. Throughout the last two years, we’ve seen Meghan rub elbows with her friends who are in the Hollywood elite while also catching the latest US Open games with her besties from college. With Jessica Mulroney, her friendship was incredibly special and that’s something that you can’t erase overnight.
#5 Jessica Mulroney Might Need Meghan Markle Now More Than Ever
While there’s no doubt that what Jessica Mulroney did was wrong (and the fact that she was exposed as a two-faced person certainly didn’t help), but there’s no doubt that Jessica could use all of the love, support, and friendship that she could get right now. Hollywood and the celebrity world have always been very forgiving and if Meghan Markle can forgive her, that means fans and critics can forgive her, too.
There’s no denying that we all become much better people after we learn from our mistakes, right? No one knows what is going on for Jessica behind closed doors right now, but we have a feeling that this won’t be the last that we will hear from her. Watch this space.
