5 Things Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Didn’t Expect To Happen After Moving To L.A.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were hoping to kick-start a new life in Los Angeles following their controversial Megxit announcement, but so far everything hasn’t worked the way they planned. In fact, here are five things that have happened so far that Harry and Meghan didn’t expect after moving to the Golden State.

The Global Coronavirus Pandemic

As many royal fans know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had major plans to start their own ‘royal empire’ following their seismic announcement that they were stepping down from their duties with the royal family. However, the global pandemic that is the coronavirus forced the couple to press the pause button on their plans. Harry and Meghan were forced to stay at home in Vancouver for several weeks before making the move to Los Angeles. Unfortunately, they are still sitting at home under California’s stay-at-home orders.

The Paparazzi Following Their Every Move

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made it no secret that they want their son Archie Harrison to grow up as a private citizen, that might not happen in Los Angeles. Harry and Meghan have only been in the City of Angels for a few short weeks and the paparazzi have managed to already capture each and every move, including a short hike the couple took with their dogs at a trail near their home. Sooner or later the paparazzi will manage to film or photograph the entire Sussex family when they least expect it.

The Royal Family Still Needing Them At Home

According to royal experts and biographers, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving for a better life in North America during the global pandemic might have been the worst possible timing for the couple. That’s because, with the coronavirus crisis back at home in the UK, the royal family is needing Prince Harry now more than ever before. With many of the senior royal members like Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles in coronavirus quarantine, it’s been left to just Prince William and Kate Middleton to step it up and put in the extra work for the rest of the monarchy.

Hollywood’s Not-So-Open Doors

Before Meghan met Harry, she was a star on the cable television show, Suits. And while it was only after she began dating the prince that she became a household name, Meghan did star in a handful of films but was never the lead or even noticeable for that matter. While reports say that Meghan Markle is hoping to land a huge role in a big-budget Hollywood project, that hasn’t happened so far. In fact, some critics believe that it did not happen at all, seeing how Meghan doesn’t have the A-list status that some other actors have. So far the only gig Meghan managed to get was voice-over work for a Disney + documentary called Elephants.

The British Tabloid Critics

One of the main reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to pack their bags and leave royal life behind in London for better and sunnier days in Los Angeles is because they want to be financially independent and yes, they also wanted to have more privacy.

But the British tabloids and their critics back in the U.K. have pointed out that there’s no way they can expect to live the celebrity life in Los Angeles and maintain some sense of privacy, too. It doesn’t matter what Harry and Meghan say or do, their critics will always have a reason to criticize their actions, regardless of what time zone they live in.
