Here are just a few ways Will and Kate’s marriage looks different these days.

#1 They Are Working More Now Than Ever Before

Now that there are two less full-time working members of the royal family, Prince William and Kate Middleton find themselves putting in more work than ever before. And with three little children at home and always expected to show up with their A-game, it’s certainly not easy. Gone are the days when they could sunbathe in the south of France during a relaxing holiday. Instead, it’s one royal engagement and public appearance after another and then coming home to three children who constantly need their attention.

#2 Juggling Their Work-Life With Their Home Life

While there’s no doubt that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s life has changed in more ways than one, having three children under the age of six has certainly made things quite challenging for them. Sure, Wills and Kate have plenty of help at home, but they are also the kind of parents who try to be as hands-on as possible. With so much mischief and mayhem from Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, we can only wonder how tired and exhausted William and Kate probably feel every day while trying to raise their family and prepare for the throne one day, too!

#3 Their Marriage Is Under Constant Scrutiny

It’s not easy being married, regardless if you are on the royal spotlight or not. But for Prince William and Kate Middleton, they are two of the most recognizable people in the world and as a result, there are going to be just as many people who are going to criticize them as there are those who are going to love them. When Prince Harry tried to put his hand on Kate Middleton’s back during a royal engagement during Christmas last year, the entire world saw her reject him. And it was the coldest of rejections, too! It’s not easy being the future King of England sometimes.

#4 To PDA Or Not To PDA?

After Meghan Markle came on to the scene, she made public displays of affection the new norm, even though it’s against royal protocol. But for some reason that she hasn’t explained to us yet, Meghan didn’t mind holding Harry’s hand in public, patting him on the back or simply showing him how much she loves him through physical affection. For Kate Middleton, this might have encouraged her to up her game because royal fans noticed that she started getting a little ‘touchy-feely’ with Prince William at a few royal engagements, including at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding in 2018. A hand on a royal thigh, you say? Who would have thought!

#5 They Know They Are The Future Of The Monarchy

Now that the dust has somewhat settled for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their new lives in Los Angeles, Prince William and Kate Middleton know that all of the royal responsibilities lie on their shoulders. That’s because as a younger couple in the royal family, they know that they are the future of the monarchy.

And while some couples don’t like to mix personal matters with professional ones, Wills and Kate don’t have a choice. They know that they have to show up, even if they make it all look like smoke and mirrors. Even Queen Elizabeth knows that without William and Kate, the monarchy won’t survive. That’s why they are doing whatever it takes to make sure that they carry on the royal legacy for as long as they can.
