While it doesn’t look like Prince William and Prince Harry are on speaking terms these days, it’s a different situation between their wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that suggests the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex have a special agreement to make sure that they always do this while they are in public together during their royal engagements. Here’s what you need to know.

Royal expert Katie Nichol recently told Britain’s Glamour Magazine in an interview that she thinks Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have a special pact. While it doesn’t appear they are the best of friends, they aren’t the worst of enemies, either.

Kate And Meghan Make A Special Effort To Appear Friendly With Each Other

While the two women look like they have kept their distance in recent weeks, both make a special effort to appear warm and friendly to one another whenever the cameras are rolling.

“I do know that Meghan and Kate have come to an agreement to get along, to make an effort, to be amiable and warm toward each other in public,” she said. “They both realize it’s in neither of their interests to have these cat-fight headlines. It’s not what either of them want.”

And just like in most families, Nicholl admits that things do get tense behind the scenes for the royal family. After all, they are expected to always put a smile on their face, regardless of what things might have been said moments before. It’s something that many working families can relate to.

There Is Some Truth That There Has Been Tension Between The Couples

“I do think there is some truth to there having been some tension — not just between the duchesses but between the dukes, as well,” Nicholl said.

“As we all know, things can gather momentum pretty quickly. So while I think there’s been tension, I don’t believe there has been some feud.”
