Her modern ways of handling things and dealing with people have been linked to the recent rift among palace members and resignations. Reports revealed that several senior courtier have resigned due to her relentless work demands. UK tabloids also said she made her sister-in-law cry during the run up to her wedding.
A lot of people believe that the plan of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to move out of Kensington Palace is driven by her deteriorating relationship with the Palace members and aides. She continues to be the subject of all the bad press with the latest report saying that the reputed and respected courtier Samantha Cohen, who has been serving the Palace for 17 years, will resign after Meghan gives birth next spring.
The British press even involved Queen Elizabeth II who reportedly got furious after Meghan asked for her emerald wedding tiara, and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, whom Meghan has been having problems with as well. Given all these, a few have even considered giving her a new moniker, “Duchess Difficult.” But for the Duchess of Sussex, she feels like the British press has rolled out a smear campaign against her.

Things are made much worse for the Duchess of Sussex after her estranged father Thomas Markle asked for reconciliation in an interview with the media. Although he defended her from the continuous barrage of negative headlines, he also added that Meghan has always been very “controlling.”
Even though most reports about Meghan have been extremely negative, there are also those who defended the Duchess including Guardian writer Hadley Freeman and Royal expert Victoria Arbiter who said Meghan being “Duchess Difficult” is “founded from absolutely nothing.”
With Christmas Eve just around the corner, the Royal watchers are expected to cast a keen eye on the Royal Family especially since the holidays are almost always the time when tensions boil over.
