British royal family news divulges that celebrities are star struck by the monarchy and its super stars. Likewise, the clan have been known to support many celebs over the years, often as they aid the same charitable causes. If you think B-Lister Meghan Markle is the first celeb to infiltrate the royal family, think again!

The British royal family has always had close ties to Hollywood and the sporting world. For her 70th Jubilee, the late Queen Elizabeth made a fun video with Paddington Bear, and before that she appeared in a skit with 007 during the Super Bowl.

Elton John and Princess Diana

British singer Elton John once said: “Prince Harry’s Mother, Diana Princess Of Wales was one of my dearest friends. I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death. To maintain a high level of much-needed protection, we provided them with a private jet flight.”

Priyanka Chopra & Meghan Markle

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra was spotted at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018. Despite their friendship, Meghan did not attend er pal’s wedding to singer Nick Jonas.

According to Meghan the two actresses met when “Elle magazine in the US hosted a dinner celebrating Women in TV … turns out that she really likes Suits.”

David Beckham & Prince William

Retired soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria attended Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding back in 2011 and are said to be good friends.

It bears noting that reports indicate that David and Victoria fell out with Harry and Meghan Markle after the latter claimed the UK couple leaked about them to tabloids.

“It’s a very normal relationship” with William, David is quoted as saying.

Gayle King and Meghan Markle

On February 20, 2019 Gayle King was one of the chosen to arrive at The Mark Hotel in New York City for Meghan’s baby shower.

After the pair defected to America, Harry gave Gayle some juicy scoops about his family, irking royalists no end.

Serena Williams was also at the shower and has supported the Grifters over the years, including handing him a trophy in honor of Pat Tillman.

Tillman’s mother and outraged individuals from around the world protested Harry being given the award, but shameless Harry took it anyway.

Rod Stewart & Prince Charles

Brit superstar Rod Stewart has performed at several royal parties and is a friend of King Charles. In turn, Stewart has received a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), and his wife, Penny Lancaster, dined with the king when he was prince.

George Clooney & Archie?

Meghan and Harry Markle have kept the identities of their kids’ godparents a secret. George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney attended Hank and Skank’s wedding and Amal was at Meghan’s NYC baby shower.
