Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor isn’t living a quet carefree retirement in Sandringham and a new report revealed that security might be a bit of a nightmare for his protection staff. Someone made an effort to intrude, and it doesn’t seem that they acted like overeager tourists. Read on for more details.
Red Flag Intrusion
The potential intrusion of strangers at Marsh Farm actually raises red flags. It’s not like Andrew currently has a massive security team. Remember, intrusions in the past involved Queen Elizabeth, but Windsor has tons of security. Meanwhile, former Prince Andrew seems to be on a tighter budget.
On Friday, The Daily Mail reported that a man and a woman scaled the exterior gate of Marsh Farm. Well, it seems that the incident revealed a big vulnerability issue on the fairly secluded property.
A Vulnerable Situation?
Apparently, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had been at the place that day while meeting with a new estate manager. However, it’s not clear if the intrusion happened at the same time.
Notably, the incident highlights a massive vulnerability in the property’s current state. While security “defused” the situation, the fact that members of the public felt bold enough to attempt an intrusion probably illustrates the need for a hard perimeter.
The Countryside Isn’t Safe?
Hello Magazine reported that lots of renovations go on. Meanwhile, some security details took up residence. But it’s not exactly clear whether Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor moved in permanently yet. And when he does, it might be a stressful time. After all, being chucked out of the spotlight into a rural country dwelling clearly hasn’t taken the focus off him.

Certainly, it’s not like there is no security at all. Other updates revealed that in December, a no-fly zone was established. Only top-level senior royals usually get that. Then, there was a new fence put up alongside CCTV which helps 24/7 security operations.
Plus, security staff live on the property. And yet, a guy and a gal literally just climbed up the gates. While nothing bad happened, the potential is there for better tacticians to access the inside of the property.
The Hate Rises
The real concern for the Sandringham security detail isn’t about curiosity. In fact, there’s a rising level of hatred on social media since the February arrest and more Epstein file drops. While many people seem angry and want accountability, not everyone sticks to letting the law take its course.
Some folks complain because allegedly, King Charles foots the bill for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s security. But really, it’s inconceivable that he’d let him sit at risk of potential deadly intrusions. Can you imagine the blowback on the monarch if something really bad happened?
It’s not clear if the intruders who were seen off lived in the area. But, apparently, those folks who stay there object to the presence of the disgraced former prince.
Unwelcome & Not Wanted
When ETimes shared a video about the reaction of neighbors in the area, it became clear that they don’t want him there. He hadn’t even arrived yet, and people described their anxiety about the “horrible man” moving in. In the comments section, plenty of royal family watchers had something to say as well.
One of them penned, “It’s justified that nobody wants slime on their doorstep.”
Here are a few other responses from the discussion:
- What a scumbag. So the RF still protects him. No justice has been served. Release the Epstein files.
- A horrible man he should not have protection what he did let the public get him. bring these men to justice now.
- Andrew should have gone to another country.
