Another Staff Member Leaves Meghan Markle’s Team

It looks like this is going to be one very stressful holiday season for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Even though the royal couple is gearing up to celebrate their first Christmas together as husband and wife, there are new reports that say there’s been a shakeup with Meghan’s staff behind palace doors. Here’s what we know.

Just last month Meghan’s personal assistant had announced that she was leaving her position and now there are new reports that say the royal couple’s interim secretary is leaving her post, too. Samantha Cohen, who is often photographed sitting behind the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their royal engagements and public appearances, plans to leave her position once the royal baby arrives sometime in the Spring of 2019.

Dubbed ‘Samantha the Panther’ by the British press, has been a member of the royal team for over 17 years. Prior to working with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Samantha worked as Queen Elizabeth II’s private secretary. Apparently, Queen Elizabeth hand-picked Samantha to work with Meghan in order to help her transition from Hollywood actress to a member of the British royal family.

So far it seems like she’s been doing her job, even though there have been quite a few negative reports about Meghan in recent weeks. While no one knows what is going on behind closed doors, Samantha assured the Duke and Duchess that she will help them find a suitable replacement for her before she leaves.
