Are Prince William and Kate Middleton isolating themselves from the world? That’s what a lot of royal fans and critics can’t help but wonder as it seems the royal couple is spending more time indoors at their home at Forest Lodge.

While this certainly isn’t new to anyone who has been paying attention, it seems like Prince William and Kate Middleton are not really pulling in their weight when it comes to the royal work load.

Not only that, but it seems like they purposely might be trying to distance themselves from the royal family, which is why they decided to move to the Forest Lodge.

One source close to the situation put it this way, “In truth, some in royal circles have expressed concern that their decision to bunker down on the King’s estate risks leaving the couple isolated from Monarchy HQ at Buckingham Palace and the wider royal household.”

Not only that, but it’s already the beginning of the year and the Prince and Princess of Wales have not revealed any big plays for the coming months ahead.

That’s because they certainly don’t have anything on their agenda. Of course, many royalists sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some have even commented with, “This level of isolation for a couple with young children is not normal, no matter their security needs.”

Another critic of the royal family wrote, “If there is war coming, no one will notice them scuttling out of Forest Lodge to wherever and phoning it in. We are long beyond the days of the Queen Mother and G6 staying in London in the Blitz.”

And then there was this comment as well: “He’s modernizing the monarchy, he’ll do everything by Zoom now. The Zoom King.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

But whether or not the Prince and Princess of Wales will continue to isolate themselves from the world and reduce the number of royal engagements and public appearances they make remains to be seen.

After all, it’s not like they can go into hiding. Prince William is the next king of England and that’s a role he’s going to have to take, whether he wants to or not.
