British royal family news reveals that on September 9, Princess Catherine confirmed that she has successfully completed preventative chemotherapy treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer.
She did so via a video shared on social media, nine months after her announcement that her doctors had discovered cancer following a planned abdominal surgery in January. The video was hailed as a powerful sign of her recovery and was lauded for its low-key but hopeful tone.

The three minute video was full of happy images of Kate Middleton and her husband and three children. Body language expert Nicole Moore dissected the interview with The List and shared her take on the videotaped message.

Throughout the short video Kate looks radiant and fans have remarked on the personal nature of the family scenes, in particular Kate and William engaging in a bit more PDA than we are used to.
Although she thought that William appeared to be a comforting presence for his wife, she observed what she described as a red flag indicating that William “could have lingering stress over Kate’s condition.”

Moore refers to a point in the video, 30 seconds in, in which Prince William appears awkward: “William pats Kate on the hand but his eyes dart upward and outward displaying subconscious discomfort.”
Moore described William’s body language as revealing that while he is “fully committed to being present physically for Kate … perhaps there’s a part of him that feels overwhelmed by it all or desires to escape somehow.”
Royal Family News – Prince William Is Kate’s Rock
If William is stressed by his partner’s situation, it’s an emotion that we all can relate to. Watching a loved one battle for their life is devastating and Kate’s situation played out at the same time King Charles battles his own form of cancer, diagnosed earlier this year.
According to the outlet, The National Cancer Institute website reveals that a loved one’s cancer can have a significant impact on a couple’s relationship.
Many royal fans have commented on the rare PDA displayed by the couple, who are normally more reticent in public with their affection.
Moore pointed out that “The couple also held hands several times during the video as they were walking around with their children. This body language demonstrates that Kate and William keep a sense of romantic connection underneath it all even when the children are present.”
