Jeremy Clarkson wrote a column about Meghan Markle and it was swiftly taken down, at his own request. That’s because so many people erupted into a fury after he parodied from “Game of Thrones.” Taking offense at the nastiest bits, many people were absolutely furious and accused him of committing a hate crime. However, Britain’s Top Cop, Sir Mark Rowley won’t be charging the controversial former “Top Gear” star.
Jeremy Clarkson – Column Was Dubbed A Hate Crime
When the column was written, many people seemed shocked. Whilst the “Harry & Meghan” docuseries on Netflix played out, people like Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne opined their unhappy viewpoints. Meanwhile, royal bloggers also loved the clicks on their podcasts. However, it seemed as if the host of ITV’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” took it next level.
When Jeremy Clarkson wrote his column that appeared briefly in The Sun, he used some rather unfortunate words. The part that shocked a lot of people said, “At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her. Everyone who’s my age thinks the same way.” Cries of “hate speech” streamed in on Twitter.
Jeremy Clarkson – Won’t Be Slapped With Hate Speech Charge
The Daily Mail reported that “Sir Mark Rowley, the commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, said officers were ‘not there to police people’s ethics.” Mind you, he should really watch what he writes about Meghan Markle in the future. That’s because the cops will be watching and waiting to see if he does cross the hate speech line. On a side note, the TV star does seem to be in favor of The Queen Consort who wore about him when she guest-edited Country Life.
Jeremy Clarkson gets to keep his job on ITV as well. If you don’t know, the former ‘Top Gear’ star hosts “Who Wants To be Millionaire?” Well, he’s not getting fired, according to the same outlet. Kevin Lygo spoke about the column, and really, it seems that if Clarkson writes something for The Sun, it’s beyond the control of a completely different media network. So, he added, “‘Yes, at the moment we are,” when asked if he would keep the controversial writer.
TV Star Seems To Be A Survivor
Jeremy Clarkson has long amused people with often dry and cutting wit over the years. In fact, he was chopped by the BBC but he got along without them.
The reason he was booted was due to him physically attacking a producer. He went on to produce “The Grand Tour,” and did a series about farming life in the UK. While there is lots of outrage about his Meghan Markle column, he still has millions of readers who admire his tongue-in-cheek style of writing.
