British Royal News says that Samantha Markle’s defamation case against Meghan Markle just won’t go way. The Duchess of Sussex says the reason why she told Oprah in her bombshell of an interview back in 2021 that she grew up as a single child is because of her “perception” of her own childhood. That, of course, isn’t cutting it for Samantha. Here’s what you need to know.

Because of what Meghan said during the interview, Samantha believes that she was being put in a bad light by her half-sister. She said in her lawsuit that Meghan made Samantha look like “a prevaricator who was attempting to cash in on the fact that her barely known half-sister married into the royal family. By publishing these false facts, she was making it apparent that her older sister was an opportunist of the worst kind.”

Yet, Meghan’s lawyers say that Samantha’s got it all wrong. They said in a statement: “Meghan’s response to that question that she ‘grew up as an only child’ was obviously not meant to be a statement of objective fact that she had no genetic siblings or half-siblings. Rather, it was a textbook example of a subjective statement about how a person feels about her childhood.”

Meghan’s team added: “This perception is inherently unfalsifiable. It is hard to imagine a more personal and subjective feeling than how one views their own childhood.”

British Royal News – Samantha Is Not Buying It

Meanwhile, Samantha believes that the Duchess of Sussex is on a “premeditated campaign to destroy” her credibility. That, and she’s also adding that Meghan is perpetuating falsehoods by suggesting that she was an only child when Samantha says that she was indeed in her life while she was growing up with their father, Thomas Markle.

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the case, but it’s also doubtful that anything will be said at this point. Meghan claims that she has not seen nor has she spoken to Samantha in several long years.
