Much ado about nothing? That’s what the British Royal Family seems to be suggesting that Meghan Markle’s claims that a fire almost broke out in her son Archie’s nursery room while they were in South Africa was nothing more than a little smoke. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal News – Buckingham Palace Says That The Fire In Archie’s Nursery Was Nothing More Than Smoke
Even though the incident had left the Duchess of Sussex shaken to the core, a palace aide told the Daily Mail that they do recall the incident and while there was not an actual fire, the heater was smoking but it was also unplugged and dealt with rather quickly.
The insider also said that Meghan was in tears over the incident, as any parent would be and that she and Prince Harry moved to a different accommodation after it all went down. The tipster also said that any announcement about a fire being in Archie’s room would have overshadowed the couple’s work in South Africa, which is something they didn’t want to do.
In her Archetype podcast, Meghan spoke to her friend Serena Williams about a fire that broke out where their son Archie was staying back in 2019. She said that soon after they arrived in Africa, Harry and Meghan left their son with a trusted nanny while they went off to a royal engagement right away.

The Duchess of Sussex recalled, “He was going to get ready to go down for his nap. We immediately went to an official engagement in this township called Nyanga, and there was this moment where I’m standing on a tree stump and I’m giving this speech to women and girls, and we finish the engagement, we get in the car and they say, ‘There’s been a fire in the baby’s room.’ What?”

“She was supposed to put Archie down for his nap, and she just said, ‘You know what? Let me just go get a snack downstairs.’ And she was from Zimbabwe, and we loved that she would always tie him on her, her back with a mud cloth, and her instinct was like, ‘Let me just bring him with me before I put him down.’ In that amount of time that she went downstairs, the heater in the nursery caught on fire. There was no smoke detector. Someone happened to just smell smoke down the hallway went in, fire extinguished,” Meghan said. She added, “He was supposed to be sleeping in there.”

They BOTH were in Norway during Easter. They choose Invictus Games over spending time -a Religious Holiday away from the “Family”. H was too busy with Polo to do anything with his two on Fathers Day. Both are obnoxious and insipid.

Smoke inhalation is what kills adults in a fire. How much more the fragile lungs of a 4 Month old trying to cope with smoke inhalation!

I think the point of controversy is what they were told about the incident. She claims she was told there was a fire and staff appears to be saying there was the smell of smoke when the baby was not there and it was dealt with immediately. It always seems to come back to, “who do you believe?”
She got her Prince and has continuously scandalized the Royal family from the start. She couldn’t handle royal life and took him from everything he has ever known. He fell into her trap and I feel sorry for him and his children. She is just an attention-seeking, narcissist.
She’s a narc. Harry is just stupid to follow on her stupid claims. The fact is and hope she’s is never welcome in the royal life. I never knew if heard of her until she got with harry. She’s most def a wanna be and poor harry has it coming to him when they get a divorce. She’s highly manipulative. Go away Meghan
Why do we all waste our time on these two selfish, narcissistic people. They choose to be angry and miserable. With all they have they just want more and more. They don’t even take care of their kids for Pete’s sake. After his upbringing with such a kind generous mother. He has taken her message and turned his back on her beloved memories
