Camilla Parker Bowles Admits She Finally Feels Like Herself Again: Here’s Why
While guest editing the Emma Barnett Show on BBC Radio Live, the future Queen Consort of England spoke about how she was finally able to visit her favorite hairdresser now that the UK government has lifted some of the lockdown restrictions. Both Camilla and her husband Prince Charles have spent the last several months in coronavirus lockdown at their private estate near Balmoral Castle in England.
Just this last weekend the UK government allowed some businesses, including restaurants, pubs, and hairdressers to reopen again. The Duchess of Cornwall didn’t waste any time and booked her appointment right away.
When Emma Barnett said that it felt great to finally do little things like getting a haircut again, Camilla replied with, “It’s a very nice feeling, you slightly feel things are getting back to normal, but I think we have to be cautious. It is a relief I think for all women, I think a lot of them were crying out for a hairdresser throughout COVID.”
British Royal News: Camilla Stayed In Touch With Family Via Technology
The Duchess also said that she has been keeping active through ballet and also staying in touch with her family by using online apps like Zoom and FaceTime. Camilla explained, “I was hopeless with the internet, I didn’t even like it either. As I said before, I thought ‘what an annoying thing’ you know, it’s doing all these terrible things. But the minute I got into lockdown and I’ve lived with the internet. We’ve seen family, we’ve talked, we’ve laughed, we’ve joked, we’ve, you know, we’ve done everything with it.”
