Camilla Parker Bowles’ Birthday Overshadowed By Princess Beatrice’s Surprise Wedding

Camilla Parker BowlesCamilla Parker Bowles is turning 73 years old, but it appears as though her birthday celebrations are being overshadowed by not just one but two events going on at Windsor Castle. New reports say that Prince Andrew and Sarah Fergusons daughter Princess Beatrice decided to tie the knot to her fiancé Edo Mapelli Mozzi at Windsor Castle. If that weren’t enough, the day is also marked as the first one that Queen Elizabeth is seen in public since the coronavirus lockdown began back in mid-March. Here’s what you need to know.

Camilla Parker Bowles’ Birthday Overshadowed By Princess Beatrice’s Surprise Wedding

Previous reports indicated that Camilla Parker Bowles knew that her birthday celebrations would be overshadowed by the fact that the Queen would be making an appearance on Friday, but no one knew this would be the reason why. According to People Magazine, Princess Beatrice and Edo tied the knot in front of 20 people in what was said to be a very intimate and small ceremony.

Even though Beatrice’s father Prince Andrew has been keeping a rather low profile because of Ghislaine Maxwell’s recent arrest and his alleged connection to her controversies, he was there to see his daughter finally get married. Beatrice and Edo postponed their wedding not once but twice because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The couple was supposed to get married in a lavish ceremony with all of the pomp and circumstance that you’d expect from a royal wedding back in May but were forced to push back on those plans.

According to People Magazine, along with Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were among the small number of guests at the ceremony. A statement from Buckingham Palace said, “The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11 a.m. on Friday 17th July at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor.”

British Royal News: What’s Next For Camilla?

So far there’s been no word on whether or not Prince Charles or Camilla Parker Bowles was at the wedding, although at this point it’s highly unlikely that they were. What’s more, the official Clarence House Instagram page has not made any mention of Princess Beatrice’s wedding, either.
