Camilla Parker Bowles has once again proven that she is her husband Prince Charles’ rock. Even though the future King of England has had a very difficult time while in quarantine because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Duchess of Cornwall remained by his side, for better and for worse. The last several months certainly haven’t been easy on Prince Charles or anyone else in the royal family for that matter. Ever since the UK and many other nations from around the world imposed strict shelter-in-place orders, many people have been living in isolation to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

For Prince Charles, this experience was even more difficult as he tested positive for Covid-19 in mid-March. This forced him to self-isolate in his private estate at Balmoral Castle. He had to spend over a week on his own, without any of his family members of his wife Camilla Parker Bowles for that matter.

During a royal engagement to thank social workers at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester this week, Prince Charles spoke about the virus and how he lost his sense of smell and taste after he developed mild symptoms. Healthcare assistant Jeff Mills told local reporters after the visit, “He [Prince Charles] did speak of his personal experience, so the first-hand experience for him. He also spoke about his loss of smell and taste and, sort of, still felt he’s still got it now.”

Thankfully, Prince Charles managed to make a full recovery, but not without the help of his wife, Camilla. Even though she was forced to isolate away from her husband, she has still been very supportive, proving again that her relationship and marriage with Prince Charles has always been and is still rock solid. While Prince Charles also revealed that one of the hardest things about the coronavirus lockdown was not being able to hug the people he loves, Camilla was never too far away from him.
