Royal Family News: Camilla Parker Bowles Could Deny Kate Middleton’s Chance To Be Queen of England

British royal family news reveals that Prince Charles could hold Kate Middleton’s future in his hands. And it all has to do with his second wife Camilla.

According to one royal expert, Charles may or may not chose to make Camilla queen when he ascends the throne. And that decision will go on to affect Kate’s chances of being given the title. It hardly seems fair but that is exactly what one royal watcher is claiming.

Royal historian Marlene Koenig explains that if Charles does not make Camilla the Queen, then Kate Middleton has no chance of being consort to the King of England, which would be her husband, Charles’ son, Prince William.

Koening said, “I find it personally ridiculous. I think it would sort a terrible precedent: for example if Camilla is Princess Consort then why should Catherine be Queen consort?”

She went on to say, “I find it very telling that Queen Elizabeth II made an announcement a couple of years naming Camilla and William to The Privy Council.”

She added that if Camilla is only allowed to be known as the Princess Consort this will have to be the case for Kate also. It means that Kate will be known by her Duchess title only when William follows Charles in becoming the King of England.

Why would Charles deny his wife the title of Queen? Some have speculated that it could have something to do with his first wife, the late Princess Diana. Diana was beloved by the country and it is known that Camilla and Charles carried on an affair while he was married to Diana. This has caused considerable consternation to many royal watchers who have made it be known that they see the possibility of Camilla becoming queen an unacceptable outcome. Right now the sentiment is at a fever pitch due to Netflix’s The Crown which is depicting that period of time in lurid detail. Still, is it fair that Camilla’s past could impinge on Kate’s future?
