Camilla Parker Bowles Gets A New Title

Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, just received a new title, and it definitely fits the royal’s previous works and experiences. Camilla, 73, has lived a life of service that’s been mostly kept out of the spotlight, but the royal has continued her work diligently, because at the end of the day, it’s not about how many headlines you make, it’s about how many lives you improved.

Duchess Camilla Named Patron Of HorseBack U.K.

The 73-year-old Duchess of Cornwall was recently announced as the new patron of HorseBack U.K., a leading organization specializing in mental health recovery. She visited the organization’s headquarters in South Ferrar, Aboyne, in 2019.

The partnership is one that absolutely fits the royal as she used to be a skilled equestrian and a long-time supporter of animal therapy.

HorseBack U.K. supports the community by providing and encouraging horsemanship and outdoor events. Their activities are geared toward helping people establish emotional connections using education and recovery tools.

According to the organization’s website, “HorseBack U.K. aims to inspire recovery, regain self-esteem and promote positive change in an individual. Using horsemanship and outdoor activities, we deliver nationally recognized and accredited personal development programmes that encourage our participants to acquire new coping strategies, life skills and build lasting resilience.”

The charity has multiple programs that are designed for various age groups. For example, there’s a military program designed specifically for veterans. The Schools Development Program is meant for teenagers, who are seeking a SQA Level 4 Certificate in Personal Development Through Horsemanship. The same applies to their most recent addition, the Youth Development Program, which launched in collaboration with the Prince’s Trust.

Camilla Parker Bowles Accepts Invitation

HorseBack U.K.’s co-founder, Emma Hutchinson, believes that partnering with Camilla Parker Bowlesl was the right thing to do.

“We are incredibly grateful to The Duchess of Cornwall for accepting the invitation to become our patron,” she said in a statement released by Hello! magazine. “As a keen equestrian herself, HRH understands how horses can help have a positive impact on our well-being and recovery.”
