British Royal News says that Camilla Parker Bowles truly did try and go out of her way to make Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feel at ease but it looks like her efforts weren’t enough. Here’s what you need to know.

According to royal expert and author Angela Levin, who has written a new book about Camilla Parker Bowles, she said that the now Queen Consort had organized a lunch for Meghan and Harry but unfortunately, her kind gesture had no impact.

Levin writes in her book that Camilla certainly went out of her way to have lunch with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the hopes that they could try and form a bond. She wrote, “Camilla and Charles wanted to show their support and invited Harry and Meghan plus their friend Lucia Santa Cruz to lunch at Highgrove. Lucia recalls: ‘As a surprise, Camilla went out of her way to make sure the lunch consisted only of recipes from Meghan’s cookbook, and that included a very hot salsa. It was a really nice gesture.’ One that made no impact.”

Meanwhile, it seems like King Charles has refused to extend an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to one royal expert by the name of Nick Bullen, Charles is now in charge and unlike Queen Elizabeth, there won’t be any secret meetings with Harry and Meghan about who knows what.

British Royal News – What’s Next For The Royals?

Bullen said, “The king’s message in his first speech was clear – he loves Meghan and Harry – but he was also clear that they’ve chosen a different life. They’ve chosen to grow their life overseas, in the States. He acknowledged that. His olive branch was simply, ‘I love you, you are very much a member of the royal family,’ as the queen said several years ago. But also made it clear – ‘You’ve made your decision on what you want to do, and I support you in that, but that’s your decision.’”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
