What You Need To Know About Camilla Parker-Bowles Being The Next Queen of England

Will Camilla Parker-Bowles become Queen of England the moment her husband, Prince Charles takes the throne? That’s what a lot of royal fans and critics can’t help but ask themselves, as the moment can happen any day, week, month or year now. As a matter of fact, there have been plenty of questions about Camilla’s future role with the monarchy and what will be expected of her.

Of course, there is no real clarity as to how Camilla will fit in the moment Prince Charles takes the throne. Back in 2005, the palace released a statement saying that Camilla would not use the title of Queen Consort out of respect to the late Princess Diana. But now, there has been some speculation that a Queen Camilla might be in everyone’s future after all.

Patrick Jephson, Private Secretary to Diana, the Princess of Wales told Channel 4’s The Royal House of Windsor, “I think Queen Camilla was always on the cards. You’ll never find it acknowledged, you’ll find clever wording like ‘there are no plans’ or ‘it is not envisaged. But I bet you a dollar to a doughnut Her Majesty Queen Camilla will be crowned.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about Camilla Parker-Bowles as the next Queen Consort of England, or of Prince Charles and his future role as King. Either way, many royal observers know that they will be seeing a Queen Camilla in the future, in one way or another. Of course, it’s just a matter of “when” at this point!
