Can Prince William Quit Like His Brother Prince Harry Did?
As many people know, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in 2020 in order to become financially-independent royals.
But can the Prince of Wales just walk away from it all and start a new life for himself in the same way that his brother did?
The short answer is, no. That’s because Prince William was raised to understand just how important his role was within the royal family and just how dependent he is for the monarchy’s future.
For him to walk away, would not only be devastating for the royal family, but catastrophic for the entire nation. You just don’t say no to being the next king of England when you were being prepared all your life for the role.
Of course, royalists on both sides of the aisle certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Royal Family News: What’s Next For The Prince of Wales?
Some even commented with, “He is the heir, he likely did and does not have the ability to just ‘step away’ like Harry did. People would’ve jumped on him with both feet for shirking responsibility, abdicating the throne, etc, and afaik judging how well the Harry/Meghan thing went, the RF is still bitter about the Edward VIII thing.”
Another critic wrote, “That would have been way, way worse and there would have been zero understanding. This dude’s job is to sit in the chair.”
“Whatever else is going on with that family is largely meaningless noise when it comes to the bigger picture. Which is that this dude needs to sit in the chair until he’s created the next dude who sits in the chair.”
And then there was this comment as well: “If he ever decided he doesn’t want to sit in the chair, every single rag would be fed whatever information to discredit him for however long it takes to get another guy ready to sit in the chair.”

“They would burn him to the ground. before they give up the chair any day of the week. He might not be the smartest, but I’m pretty sure he is 100 percent aware of that.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the speculation, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
