After a five year contract in which Hank and Skank have failed, failed, failed, Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria doubled down today saying they are thrilled to be associated with the disaster tourists.
Stockholders will disagree, let alone anyone who tried to watch Polo or Meghan & Harry.
Polo was Prince Harry’s dynamite series about the one percent hobby of Polo—the one where ponies are struck with sticks in order to please the grown men in ridiculous pantaloons riding on top of them.
Prince Harry’s Flop Era
According to the Daily Mail, the couple somehow convinced the streamer to give them an £80m streaming deal in 2020.
Bajaria insisted that the company stands by the next flop, Markle’s cooking series, With Love Meghan. They are so convinced of its merit that they suddenly delayed its January debut all the way into March.

Bajaria told the Mail “We have Meghan’s new show coming out, which is great.”
But wait, there’s more! The exec said that Meghan’s delayed fare is “a great take on a lifestyle show and showcase for California, Montecito and nature. It really has great takeaways. I was like ‘oh my God, I want to really do that pasta.’ There’s really easy great takeaways on life. I am really excited about that coming out.”
Netflix Stands By Meghan And Harry
This is the first time that Netflix has “confirmed that The Sussexes will move forward with projects. Netflix bosses have vowed to stand by the Sussexes despite disappointing ratings and dire reviews for Prince Harry’s polo documentary.”
But how much should we invest in this claim? After all, Netflix’s latest PR brochure failed to mention With Love, Meghan. Worse, during a recent industry event a Netflix rep dissed Meghan and Harry by name. Comic John Mulaney made a savage dig at them for having “no specific plan” for their inflated deal with Netflix. And Netflix said nothing.

Still, Bajaria noted that Meghan continues to work on a screen adaptation of the bestselling romance novel Meet Me at the Lake by Carley Fortune. “Asked whether the movie is ‘definitely coming out’, she insisted: ‘It is in development. It is a great book, she had it and we are happy to do it.”
Posters weren’t buying what Bajaria tried to sell: “Of course Netflix is going to feign support of the duo. To do otherwise would guarantee a lawsuit against them from the permanently disgruntled duo.” Another said of Polo: “Sure, I want to watch a video about an exiled minor royal with mediocre skills participating in a sport known for animal cruelty. Not.”
