Could Things Get So Unbearable in America that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Beg the Queen to Take them Back?

Talk of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle heading back to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor seems premature at this stage. However, some, including Sharon Osbourne, wife of Black Sabbath rocker, Ozzie Osbourne have suggested that Harry and Meghan will be miserable in their new abode.

As many royal fans know by now, Meghan and Harry moved from the U.K. to Vancouver Island in Canada at first. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rapidly changed plans and decided to make the move to Los Angeles, in the United States of America. Since then, Prince Harry and Meghan have been spotted scouting out mansions in Malibu in the $15 Million range.

With that said, there is concern that Meghan and Harry will have next to zero privacy. Some might say, “so what?” After all, it seems Meghan wants to get back into acting and doesn’t that necessarily entail a degree of being in the limelight? The answer is yes, of course. It does. However, many reports indicated that too much publicity was one of the biggest reasons that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to embark on a course of stepping back from royal duties. Again, if that’s true, then many are going to be saying to themselves that moving to America is a case of jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire!

Many royal watchers may agree that the American paparazzi and media hounds are as bad if not worse than those Harry and Meghan tried to escape in the U.K.!

No, the truth is, Harry and Meghan’s flight from Great Britain may have had less to do with a need for privacy than it did with a need to escape from family control. Meghan is likely to rebuild her brand sans the HRH title and without the word “royal” attached to her name. Meghan’s a talented actress and the Los Angeles area used to be her stomping grounds. The duchess knows what she’s doing.

Still, if things get dicey for Meghan and Harry, Queen Elizabeth has apparently left the door open for their return. Despite reports of her dire wrath at Harry for his decision to step down and away from The Firm, apparently there’s still a breath of hope that the prince might rejoin the British royal family in some capacity. That return could take the form of Prince Harry regaining the right to use some of his honorary military titles, of which he was also stripped. With those titles restored, Harry could again perform certain royal charitable duties.

No one knows what Prince Harry’s decision will be at this point, however. Harry does, after all, have at least a year to consider his course of action. Even then, Queen Elizabeth must still approve whatever Harry decides upon.

The bottom line here for both Harry and Meghan is whether they will be satisfied with their home and security arrangements in America. If so, and Meghan is able to pursue her acting career in the manner she chooses without interference, then it’s unlikely that she and Prince Harry will return to Buckingham Palace with their tales tucked neatly between their legs.
