Although Harry is not an athlete, he allegedly contributed to the Invictus Games, the UK disabled veteran competition based on the US’s Wounded Warrior Games.
Even if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Harry has done nothing to deserve the award based on selfless character and devotion to country.
Harry and ESPN In Bed Together
That didn’t stop him from accepting, nor ESPN from gifting him, an award Pat Tillman’s mother objected to his receipt of. It doesn’t get lower than to disrespect a fallen veteran’s mother, and yet that is exactly what Harry and ESPN did.
The Ginger Judas had the nerve to call out Mary Tillman in his acceptance speech. Way to go Harry, you just proved to the remaining .02 percent of Americans who were giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are a soulless ghoul.
Royal Family News: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Showed Up At The Award Ceremony
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex showed up to the award ceremony to be papp snapped but they were too cowardly to walk the red carpet. Can you imagine how spineless Harry acted during his “tour” of Afghanistan? In contrast, Pat Tillman died in Afghanistan defending his country.
So forgive us (and the tens of thousands who signed an online petition urging ESPN and Harry to rethink their blunder) if we find the idea of the village idiot being honored alongside a true American hero repugnant.
And yet, there the traitors were in all their glory—Meghan in a halter dress horribly out of place among the formal wear, Harry in a tight-fitting black suit—looking as if they were filming their next Netflix reality show. Oh, wait a minute …
Harry, who couldn’t risk his ego being bruised with red carpet boos, stood tall on stage, with a larger-than-life portrait of Tillman, an Army Ranger and Purple Heart awardee, behind him.
The irony was perfectly accentuated by Harry’s posh, crisp, clipped English tones, as he—wait for it– invoked Nelson Mandela.
To add insult to injury, the host was Serena Williams, tennis legend and Markle defender. At one point she pointed to the Markles and called them “actual royalty” a not-so-subtle dig at the actual monarchy.
Royal Family News: ESPN Blows it With Harry
By that time the damage was done. Prince Harry accepted an award he so richly does not deserve “amidst a wave of criticism following the announcement that the Duke would be receiving the award” according to the Mirror US.
As had been rumored, Harry tried to make everything ok by pretending to accept “not as Prince Harry, Pat Tillman Award recipient, but rather a voice on behalf of the Invictus Games Foundation and the thousands of veterans and service personnel from over 20 nations who have made the Invictus Games Foundation a reality. This award belongs to them, not to me.”
Yeah right, try telling that to Mary Tillman and the Netflix camera crew capturing you and the jamstress in all of your hypocritical holier than thou glory.
Following the news that the prince was set to receive the honor, Tillman’s mother, Mary had this to say: “I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award. There are recipients that are far more fitting.
There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans. These individuals do not have the money, resources, connections or privilege that Prince Harry has. I feel that those types of individuals should be recognized.”
The problem is, the people with the money, resources, and connections would rather honor a vulgar family traitor than do the right thing. Harry and ESPN should be ashamed.
